Manaato's "wings" aren't actually wings; they are just painted glass.
Her theme "Expressive Multi-tone Contrast ~ Second Renaissance" was originally a MIDI composed by Nansei Dev "LuckySmash"
Sonohoka Wyra was a part of her creation.
Manaato was created originally by Nansei Dev "Popcioslav".
Even though she isn't Final Boss, she is treated like that in the story. Hiromi Hypolla was just her "meat shield".
Manaato, Himeka Akaito, Kabocha no Kyofu, Lunar, Starrot Heartlet and Mortem are the only Phantasm bosses.
Fans joke that Manaato is responsible for Article 13, as they both put bans on copyrighted media they don't approve of and share 13 as a number.
During the development of Expressive Illumination, Manaato had completely different design that was more based around the original design created by Popcioslav from the old dev team:
- Manaato looked smaller in general, almost younger than her final design
- Her hair color was darker
- Her pink skirt was shorter and her top was slightly different
- One of her wings was rainbow colored instead of being painted glass
